Michael joined the firm in 2009 after relocating to Reno from Los Angeles, California. Michael's practice with the firm has been focused on general civil litigation work.

Prior to joining the firm, Michael worked for a public entity defense firm in Los Angeles. While practicing in Los Angeles, Michael gained a tremendous amount of experience handling a variety of public entity defense cases including claims for premises liability, negligent entrustment, police excessive force, and A.D.A. compliance.

While in law school, Michael gained experience in bankruptcy law working as a judicial extern for the Honorable James R. Grube in the Federal Bankruptcy Court. During that time, Michael was also able work with local attorneys to develop, and implement, a pro bono criminal sentence reduction program which assisted low-income individuals to expunge or reduce their criminal records.

When Michael isn't working, he enjoys traveling, snowboarding, running and golf. He is also an active member of both the Surfrider Foundation and Heal the Bay.
